Data visualization

Data visualization provides a means of graphically displaying information to effectively communicate ideas, illustrate emergent patterns, or tell a story. Humans have used graphical representations of data for hundreds of years and the Data Cooperative is here to support your data story.

Get inspired by seeing what other people have done to tell data stories.

Find tools to create, edit, and improve your visualizations. Or, connect with us through events and workshops to learn more about visualization.

Connect with us

If you want more help with data visualization, there are multiple ways you can connect with us:

Tuesday morning drop-ins

Every Tuesday morning, 9-11am, we host the Data & Viz Drop-ins in the Data Studio of the Main Library. Find more details on the library's event page.

Data Visualization Challenge

Each spring semester, the Data Cooperative runs a student data visualization contest for UA students to showcase their data visualization. Find more details on the Data Visualization Challenge page.

High-performance computing (HPC) visualization

If you are visualizing data that requires high-performance computing (e.g. large photogrammetry datasets, LiDAR, 3-D models), Devin Bayly is part of UITS's Research Computing team and ready to help. Find out more on the visualization consulting page.
