Try out machines like laser cutters and 3D printers, or just come in and do some crafts. We have a wide variety of equipment and materials available to you.

We run free workshops on almost all of our equipment every week.
Explore and reserve our spaces
We have a variety of rooms for you to explore! Some machines and spaces can be reserved ahead of time.
Get certified to use our machines
The 3D Printers, laser cutters, and CNC machines require you to take a class before you can operate them independently.

We're located in the lobby of the Main Library
We're open to everyone! You don't need previous experience to use our spaces, equipment, and technology to create innovative projects. Our staff is here to support you and your next project.
While we focus on working with students at the University of Arizona, community members are also welcome to use our spaces and equipment.
We also invite instructors to bring your class to CATalyst Studios for hands-on learning opportunities.

There is no membership cost to enter the makerspace or any of our surrounding studios. There is also no cost to attend any of our workshops.
We do charge for certain materials. You can review material costs here.
Sign up for our CATalyst D2L Course, which is accessible to all UA students and affiliates. You'll be able to find all of our machine tutorials and resources there.
Before you can access our machine modules, you must complete our orientation video and sign our user agreement in the "Start Here" D2L module.
Don't have a NetID? That's alright! Community members can access all tutorials and resources without a netID by clicking here.

Are you a current UA student? You have $50 in credit!
You can use your credit on any associated costs in our space. Your credit spans the length of your degree program.
