Letters, copies of legal documents, maps, and survey notes and other materials chiefly relating to the claims of Alfred A. Green. Includes a map and survey notes by George J. Roskruge; a typescript record book of correspondence and testimony, 1880-1885; survey and map of mines in the area, a copy of by-laws of the San Rafael Cattle Company; and a list of mines on the ranch including mining towns of Harshaw, Mowry, Washington Camp, and La Naria.

Historical background

San Rafael de la Zanja ranch was owned by the San Rafael Cattle Co. The title to the land was challenged by Alfred A. Green.
