One printed form completed in manuscript. The army discharge is for Manuel Paredes, first Provincial head of the Columa de Granaderos. It is signed by Jose Moran with his title "El Marq. de Vivanco," and dated January 22, 1825. An engraving of an eagle and cactus depicts the official emblem.
According to the letterhead, Jose Moran was "Marques de Vivanco, General de division de los ejércitos nacionales y Gefe del Estado mayor general."
