About the renovations
During the summer, the 1B wing of the 1st floor will be sealed off and renovated to install a new state-of-the-art HVAC system to manage indoor air temperature, humidity, and air quality. New ductwork and fire suppression technology will be installed as well.
In addition, the existing drop ceilings will be removed, exposing the architectural honeycomb ceilings found throughout the Main Library.
