3D Printing Certification

This in-person workshop covers the basics of 3D printing on our Prusa Mk4S. Once certified, you will be able to independently operate the 3D printers in CATalyst Studios.

Follow these steps before arriving to the certification workshop:

You must complete our online portion of our certification within the CATalyst Studios D2L before attending this session.

1. Register for the CATalyst Studios D2L course.
2. Watch our orientation video and sign our user agreement. Both are found in the Orientation module. The 3D printing online module will not populate until these are both completed.
3. Within the 3D printing module, complete the 3D printing tutorial and take the 3D printing quiz (100% score required, multiple attempts are allowed).
4. Download the certification coin file and prepare and slice the file according to the 3D file prep Instructions.
5. Come to the certification with your sliced file saved to a personal device with PrusaSlicer installed. Your device must have a USB port for file transfer.
6. Show the facilitators your 3D printing quiz score when you arrive (found in the Grades tab).

Engineering students: please register for an Engineering-specific workshop
