3D Printing Certification

About the workshop

This in-person session covers the basics of 3D printing on our Prusa machines. Once certified, you will be able to independently operate the 3D printers in CATalyst Studios.

You must first complete the online portion of our certification within the CATalyst Studios D2L.

Register now (opens Jan. 15).

Before arriving to the in-person certification:

1. Register for the CATalyst Studios D2L course.
2. Watch our orientation video and sign our user agreement.
   • Both are found in the Orientation module.
   • The 3D printing prework module will not populate until these are both completed.
3. In the 3D printing module, complete the 3D printing tutorial and take the 3D printing quiz (100% score required, multiple attempts are allowed.)
4. Download the certification coin file and prepare and slice the file using the 3D file prep Instructions
5. Bring your sliced file saved to your computer (must have USB port for file transfer) to the certification workshop.
6. Show the workshop facilitators your 3D printing quiz score (found in the Grades tab).

Note: Your registration will be canceled if you:

• have not completed the certification prerequisites upon arrival.
• are more than 10 minutes late.
