Congratulations, Leigh!

The Association of University Presses (AUPresses) hosts its annual Book, Jacket and Journal Show to honor the university publishing community’s design and production professionals; recognize achievement in design, production and manufacture of print publications; and serve as a spark to conversations and source of ideas about intelligent, creative, and resourceful publishing. 

This year's show honored exemplary works created by the university press community in 2023. Member presses submitted 507 entries from across the world including entries from the University of Arizona Press, a University Libraries department.

The 81 award winners included Press Art Director Leigh McDonald’s jacket design, and Porter McDonald’s interior drawings, for Rim to River by Tom Zoellner. Judging for this year’s show was held at the AUPresses Central Office in New York City. 

The Press hosts the Book, Jacket and Journal Show in November. Rim to River and other award-winning Press books are on display in the Press offices in the Main Library on the fifth floor. The winners are also on virtual display.
