The talk celebrates the opening of an exhibit of Miller's papers, which were recently acquired by Special Collections and are now open for research.  Miller's papers contain a wealth of information on the broad range of topics he has covered in the past 35 years.

Tom Miller's nine books include Jack Ruby's Kitchen, The Panama Hat Trail, On the Border, and Trading with the Enemy: A Yankee Travels through Castro's Cuba. Miller, a veteran of the underground press of the 1960s, has written for the New York Times, Natural History, Smithsonian, Esquire, LIFE, and Rolling Stone, among other publications. He has worked as a consultant for network television and public radio, where his commentaries have been heard on NPR. Most recently, Miller has brought out Writing on the Edge: A Borderlands Reader, which collects some of the best writing about the US-Mexico border from the last hundred years. Several of Miller's books will be available for purchase after the talk.
