About this collection

This collection has a wide variety of materials related to Spain in the 18th-, 19th- and 20th-century. A majority of the collection are items from the 19th-century, topics ranging from medical pamphlets discussing topics such as cholera and hygiene, to religious pamphlets such as funeral and burial catalogs of those buried in Archicofradía Sacramental de San Pedro, San Andrés and San Isidro. The collection has more general topics such as economics, government and politics, and literature, including most of the España Dramatica collection. In addition, this collection has original mining records from Almadén, Spain dating back to the early 19th century. Also included are various advertising trading cards, also known as “Americana”.
