Researchers often can't find free data sources that meet their needs. As a result, they have to find funding from their department or through grant funding to purchase data.

But what if grants are competitive or aren't available to purchase data?

University Libraries is helping to address these barriers through our Data Grant Program.

For the second year, we invite University of Arizona faculty members, graduate students, post-doctoral research associates, or staff members to apply for a grant to obtain and use data for their research projects. The data can be numerical, geospatial, textual, visual, or audio.

After we purchase or license the dataset, we'll make it available across campus at no cost to support other potential research projects.

Application deadline extended to February

We've extended the deadline to February 1, 2022 for interested applicants.
