The Katheryne B. Willock Library Research Award is presented to three undergraduate and three graduate students each year. The $1,000 award recognizes students who use library services or resources extensively in their research. Willock Award winners have appeared in the news to talk about how they are making the world a better place.

• 2018 awardee Ayumi Pottenger is currently a senior in Molecular and Cellular Biology. In March, she was interviewed on KXCI's Thesis Thursday about her stroke research. In August 2017, she was also profiled in Marana News. 
• 2017 awardee Lindsey Chew graduated in May with a degree in Neuroscience and Cognitive Science. She presented her research on non-opioid pain-relief drugs in Washington, DC, and was featured on Tucson News Now in April. She was also a guest on KXCI's Thesis Thursday in February.
