Robert Swaggerty is the new materials handler in our Facilties and Shipping Department. Born and raised in Tucson, Swaggerty recently returned to the area after spending the past six and a half years in Northern California while serving in the U.S. Air Force. During his time in the military, he worked as an aircraft mechanic, and gained experience maintaining four different types of aircraft. He also supported facilities operations for several aircraft hangars.

Outside of work, Swaggerty enjoys working on cars and trucks, racing remote controlled cars, and hopes to soon get back into crafting with laser engravers. He is very excited to begin this new chapter at the university, meet and work with new people, and see what the future holds.
