Librarian Jeanne Pfander recognized with service award
Congratulations to Jeanne Pfander!
Jeanne, Associate Librarian at the Health Sciences Library, received the United States Agricultural Information Network (USAIN) Service to the Profession Award at the 2020 USAIN Virtual Conference. She was recognized for her leadership and collaborative efforts within USAIN, the Agriculture Network Information Collaborative, and the Rangelands Partnership.
USAIN's mission is to connect librarians and other information professionals who are working in agriculture. According to the network's website, “This award is designated for USAIN members who have demonstrated leadership in advancing the field of agricultural information and who have established new directions or visions for the field.”
Jeanne is the liaison librarian for the Division of Agriculture, Life and Veterinary Sciences, and Cooperative Extension—which includes the College of Agriculture & Life Sciences and the College of Veterinary Medicine—and the Laboratory of Tree-Ring Research at the University of Arizona College of Science.
