Jerry Perry honored with Association for Academic Health Sciences Libraries Award
Associate Dean Jerry Perry was honored by the Association for Academic Health Sciences Libraries (AAHSL) with the Gerald J. Oppenheimer Cornerstone Award at the annual business meeting on November 3.
Perry was recognized for his service to AAHSL and his work supporting LGBTQ+ diversity in the profession. He was nominated by a group of his peers.
The award─which is the association's highest honor─is named after Gerald J. Oppenheimer, the inaugural president of AAHSL. It's given to an individual, group, or institution selected by the association's Board of Directors. The award recognizes a “notable or important contribution that has assisted AAHSL in achieving its mission or had a significant impact on the profession of academic health sciences librarianship."
Congratulations, Jerry!
