Congratulations to our fall '23 graduating student employees!
Our student employees are critical to our success
Best of luck to our student employee graduates, Nathaniel, Gregory, and Karina as they pursue this exciting new life chapter. We are proud of you and will miss you! Thank you for being part of our library operations.
Nathaniel Gamez
Library department worked in: Resource Sharing, Access & Information Services
Major: Criminal Justice Studies
Minor: Astronomy
Most looking forward to after graduation: Being able to utilize my degree to help others in need who are going through the system.
Advice to undergraduates: College is not only about what you are studying, but learning about who you are as a person. Don’t be afraid of making mistakes. They suck but learn to embrace them as learning experiences. I’d also recommend taking good, calculated risks. I don’t mean dumb risks like procrastinating before an exam but rather, trying new things. Get out of your comfort zone. Together, they force you to grow and become better.

Most looking forward to after graduation: Not having to do homework.
Advice for incoming students: Create a schedule and stick to it.
Karina Teran
Library department worked in: Technology & Operations, Access & Information Services
Double major: Speech Language and Hearing Science; and Leadership and Learning Innovation
Minor: Adolescent Community Education
Most looking forward to after graduation: Going back home and hanging out with my family. I also am looking forward to traveling before I jump into grad school in the fall.
Advice to undergraduates: Make friends with people in your major. They are the only ones who understand the struggle of the classes, and y'all will have the same schedule so planning to get together is easy.
