When
How can artists transform a physical object into multiple digital forms? In this hands-on workshop, students will explore the creative workflow of scanning, modeling, 3D printing, and augmented reality.
Along the way, students will learn how artists and designers use emerging technologies to expand what sculpture and storytelling can look like in the digital age. By the end of the session, students will understand the process of translating a physical object into a digital artifact and experience how technology can extend artistic expression beyond the physical world.
This workshop is being led by visiting artist GABO (Gabriel-Bello Diaz), a Puerto Rican multidisciplinary artist, designer, educator, and community organizer based in Seattle. His practice bridges architecture, digital fabrication, and fine art to tell stories rooted in ancestry, identity, and futurism.
