Sewn manuscript that contains listings of over 150 Indians. Each has a Spanish name, and a table beside their names marks them according to marital state: married, widowed, or single. They are grouped next to names of Spaniards: for example, Antonio Cabillo, Antonio de Mena, Juan Rodriguez, Juan Maldonado. Dated January, 1592.
Bookseller's description and bibliographic references for the document are included.
In 1590, the viceroy at the time, Luis de Velasco II ordered a great census taken throughout Mexico. The introductory statement of this document states that this 1592 census accounts for all the Indians in the city of Colima not reported in the previous one.
