Rachel Castro

Associate Librarian, Experiential Learning & Humanities and Fine Arts Librarian

I have two roles at the University of Arizona Libraries: as an Experiential Learning Librarian with CATalyst Studios, and a liaison librarian in the Humanities & Fine Arts liaison cohort.

As an Experiential Learning Librarian, I collaborate with instructors to incorporate experiential learning into their courses, with the CATalyst Studios makerspace as a partner. Every course is unique, and I excel at creating customized, course-relevant hands-on learning opportunities across the entire UA campus . For more information about course visits (and some examples of classes I've worked with), see the Experiential Learning guide. Email catalyst@lib.arizona.edu if you'd like to discuss what's possible with CATalyst Studios!

As a member of the Humanities & Fine Arts librarian cohort, I support the research and instruction needs of students, staff, and faculty in the Colleges of Humanities and Fine Arts. I work with instructors to create online or in-person library support tailored for your syllabus, and provide support for individual disciplinary research. See the Your Librarian page for more information about the librarian cohort model and the support we offer.
