I’m the News Research Specialist Librarian and provide research consultations about newspapers and other news media.  I'm also a co-principal investigator and co-project director, in partnership with the State of Arizona Research Library, on a National Digital Newspaper Program grant funded by the National Endowment for the Humanities. I have also led a Teaching with Primary Sources grant project funded by the Library of Congress and a project to teach students text mining of digitized newspapers for a Collections as Data grant funded by The Andrew W. Mellon Foundation. My research interests include the use of newspapers in research, newspaper digitization, text mining, and teaching with primary sources. I'm also a social sciences disciplinary liaison librarian and partner with faculty and students in their research, teaching, and learning.
