Archive Tucson is University Libraries' ever-growing collection of interviews about life and change in Tucson and Southern Arizona.

As part of a Land Grant institution, one of the most important ways we serve our community is preserving the stories of today for the people of tomorrow. Archive Tucson is produced by Aengus Anderson, Oral Historian/Digital Media Producer, and part of University Libraries Marketing and Communications.

One of Archive Tucson's interviews, "Barbara Elfbrandt," was featured on Arizona Public Media (NPR's local affiliate) this week on the August 3, 2023 edition of Arizona Spotlight (20:50) with host Mark McLemore

In this edited interview that was recorded on June 14, 2019, Elfbrandt shares her recollection about the beginnings of the peace movement in Tucson, and what it meant to protest businesses that practiced discrimination in the early 1960s.
