Librarian Nicole Pagowsky honored for instruction excellence
Join us in congratulating Associate Librarian Nicole Pagowsky!
Nicole was selected as the 2021 winner of the Association of College and Research Libraries (ACRL) Instruction Section’s (IS) Miriam Dudley Instruction Librarian Award.
The award is named for Miriam Dudley, whose efforts in the field of information literacy led to the formation of the ACRL IS. The honor recognizes a librarian who has made a significant contribution to the advancement of instruction in a college or research library environment. Prior winners over the last 30 years include some of the most influential leaders in library instruction.
Nicole, the Information Literacy Program manager at the University of Arizona Libraries and an adjunct instructor at the University of Arizona School of Information, will be presented with a plaque and a $1,000 cash award at the virtual American Library Association Annual Conference in June. Her research interests include critical approaches to pedagogy and instructional design, student motivation, and programmatic information literacy. In 2019, ACRL honored Nicole and the Critical Librarianship and Pedagogy Symposium with a Special Certificate of Recognition and Appreciation.
Congratulations!
