Jerry Perry receives 2020 Marcia C. Noyes Award
Jerry Perry, associate dean for health sciences for the University of Arizona Libraries and director of the University of Arizona Health Sciences Library, was recognized by the Medical Library Association with the 2020 Marcia C. Noyes Award. The Medical Library Association is a "global, nonprofit educational organization, with a membership of more than 400 institutions and 3,000 professionals in the health information field." The annual Marcia C. Noyes Award is the MLA’s highest professional distinction, "recognizing careers that have resulted in lasting, outstanding contributions to medical librarianship." Perry, who served as the MLA president in 2011-12 and began at the UA in 2015, was recognized for his "strength of conviction for inclusion and diversity, and his effort in 'pushing boundaries' to grow the profession."
