What do you do?

Essentially, I’m a research data management consultant. When someone has a problem with finding data, organizing their data, keeping their data safe, visualizing data, using other people’s data, learning about data, or making their research more reproducible, they can come to me. I can help them identify tools and devise a strategy to address their need. I’m also an ambassador for the Center for Open Science.

How long have you worked for University Libraries?

1 year.

What’s your favorite library resource or service and why?

The newly opened seed library in the Science-Engineering Library is a cool concept and something I’ve never seen before.

What would people be surprised to know about you?

I once climbed an active, smoking, earthquaking volcano. Interestingly, the spot where the group rested, close to the top, ceased to exist a few months later after it was buried in lava.
