Fall Student Research Symposium
When
Where
What’s the best way to learn about the U.S.-Mexico border? By visiting it and by meeting the people who live in the region. That’s just part of the experiential approach of Professors Celeste González de Bustamante and Linda Green, who teach reporting and anthropology courses about the borderlands. Aside from meeting and interviewing borderlands residents in person, students use archival records found in the UA Special Collections to explain what has happened historically in Nogales, Arizona and Nogales, Sonora. During the fall 2018 semester, borderlands curator, Verónica Reyes-Escudero and journalism librarian, Mary Feeney assisted students in their research. Join us on December 3, as students present their reports and findings about the U.S.-Mexico border.
