About this collection

The Perazzo family correspondence consists of 38 handwritten letters, in Italian, sent to Paola and Carmelita Perazzo of Phoenix, Arizona, during the years of 1893-1894 and 1912-1919. The letters appear to be from family members, including a brother. The majority were written by the same person, and discuss matters of common concern, including health and money.

All but two of the letters were discovered in their original envelopes with postmarks from three cities in Italy, the prevalent one being Chiavari, near Genoa. Most of the letters were sent to 612 North Monroe Street, Phoenix, Arizona.
