We’re excited to announce several improvements to facilities in the Health Sciences Library.

Study room upgrades

Study rooms are getting a facelift!

In response to requests from students, we are painting rooms, installing large glass whiteboards, buying new tables and chairs, and installing quieter door latches. Many rooms have been painted and have new whiteboards and chairs, and we have new blinds on the second floor.

New tables have been ordered and are expected to arrive later in the semester. We’re also in the queue to have the windows cleaned, which should brighten up the building and improve views to the outside.

Restroom upgrades

Restrooms on the 2nd and 3rd floors were also upgraded earlier in 2022. We painted and increased the size of the stall for people with disabilities in both restrooms. In the 2nd floor restrooms, we also installed automatic door openers, replaced partitions, upgraded lighting to LED bulbs, painted, and reglazed the tile.

Future improvements

We’re also doing some longer-term space planning with a team of architects from the College of Architecture, Planning, and Landscape Architecture, so watch for additional improvements in future years.
