Take a break, enjoy a book, tell a friend, and make a suggestion!

In response to student requests, we've launched a print collection at the Main Library for leisure reading, Wildcat Reads

Recreational reading is alive and well on college campuses, and we know there is interest in a wide range of genres, which we hope the collection reflects. We want to help relieve academic pressures with a little bit of escapism and believe that leisure reading can also contribute to mental well-being and self-care.

"I’m really excited that we can feature great reads that can help us see the universe through others’ eyes. When Stars Are Scattered by Victoria Jamieson and Omar Mohamed is a beautiful graphic novel memoir that is deeply moving, with great illustrations. But there are so many more to recommend," said Cheryl Gerken, Course Content Initiatives Manager, Collection Services, who helped bring this collection together.

Where to find the collection

Wildcats Reads is located on the third floor of Main Library (map below). Genres include:

  • Classics

  • Fiction
  • Graphic novels
