Digitized primary sources

Discover women’s voices in fiction, poetry, and other works by Black Women Writers and Latin American Women Writers.

Read about women’s experiences throughout history in their own words in resources like British and Irish Women's Letters and Diaries and North American Women's Letters and Diaries: Colonial to 1950. 

For more documents, images, books, films, and more, take a look at Women and Social Movements in the United States, 1600-2000. This database is “a fabulous resource for students because it is easily searchable, clearly accessible, and intimately relatable. It has a wide variety of perspectives within social movements and contains so many different kinds of documents,” said Dr. Michelle Berry, Director of Undergraduate Studies in the Gender & Women’s Studies Department.
