Welcome, health sciences students!

The Health Sciences Library faculty and staff are looking forward to helping you succeed this semester.

If you’re new to working with us, here are three things you should know:

1. You have your very own librarian! Each health sciences college has a dedicated liaison librarian who can help you meet your academic and research goals. Don’t hesitate to contact your librarian whenever you have questions or need help.

2. The Health Sciences Library - Tucson and the Health Sciences Library - Phoenix are open to health sciences students seven days a week. After business hours you’ll need your CatCard to access the library. Here are just a few things you can do:

  • Study. The Health Sciences Library offers a variety of different study and workspaces, from individual and group study rooms to comfy carrels and open tables. Tucson students can reserve study rooms; Phoenix study rooms are first-come, first-served.

  • Check out technology. We lend laptops, tablets, cameras (Tucson only), anatomical models (Phoenix only), chargers, and more.

  • Read. We have physical books for all health sciences disciplines, plus an Arts, Wellness and Health Humanities collection.

3. Our website is your gateway to thousands of ejournals, ebooks, databases, and other resources.

  • Find a book, journal, or article.

  • Request materials from Main, Weaver Science-Engineering, Fine Arts, and Health Sciences Libraries through express retrieval (Tucson only), or borrow materials from libraries around the world through interlibrary loan.

  • Access research guides, course guides, and tutorials

Stop by in person or virtually, and let us know if you have a question or a concern about the library.

We’re here for you.
