Staff welcomed students at College of Public Health mixer on Aug. 30
Dr. Iman A. Hakim, Dean at the Mel and Enid Zuckerman College of Public Health (CPH), offered the official welcome at the Welcome Students Mixer on Wednesday, Aug. 30.
Students could connect with representatives from many campus organizations to learn about their services and resources. Participants also enjoyed free food and refreshments, collected SWAG, mingled and danced with Wilbur and Wilma, and socialized with faculty and staff. The event was sponsored by the CPH Offices of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, and Student Affairs.
Jean McClelland, CPH Liaison Librarian, recruited volunteers to staff the library table to meet and greet students. Despite the sauna-like conditions, Janet Crum, Health Sciences Library Director, Shelly Pepper, Library Services Associate, Jean McClelland, Assistant Librarian, Beth Reese, Research and Learning Associate, and Annabelle Nuñez, Health Sciences Library Associate Director (not pictured) gave away 3D printed bookmarks, stickers, pens, masks, and other goodies while they answered questions about library resources, services, and programs.
