Director of Facilities Planning / Management Hayri Yildirim contributed the third chapter of "Osmanlı’dan Cumhuriyet’e Modernleşme: İktisadi, Siyasi, Sosyal ve Kültürel Temala," which investigates the modernization of the early Turkish republic not as a paradigmatic change from the Late Ottoman empire but rather a continuation of it. In the study, Multi Modernization theories as well as Michel Foucault’s theories will be used to support the idea of Turkish Modernization.
