Join the University of Arizona Press for an evening celebrating Ernest W. McFarland and the release of his newest biography Call Him Mac: Ernest W. McFarland, the Arizona Years. The political life of Ernest W. McFarland—lawyer, judge, senator, governor, Arizona Supreme Court justice, and businessman—is well documented. Less known is his life as a family man, country lawyer, rural judge, and visionary who helped shape the state of Arizona. With special remarks from Dr. Peter Likins and Burton J. Kinerk, author Gary L. Stuart will share the little-known story of how Arizona’s culture and citizens shaped this energetic, determined, likable lawyer. A reception will follow the event where copies of Call Him Mac will be available for purchase and signing. Seating is limited, please RSVP.
Free and open to the public. Questions or requests regarding disability-related accommodations should be directed to Rosemary Brandt.
